When we look in the mirror, many of us see ourselves as ordinary or worse, but God sees us as made in his image.  The right image is how He made us as his unique design, set apart and special.  We will come to know how we are uniquely made as we learn to draw our own faces (using a mirror) and other human faces from photographs.  We will spend the week learning different drawing techniques from a retired police officer with 30+ years of experience as a sketch artist.

Do you want to learn the oldest and best two handed card game around? Then come to Cribbage Camp! Each day we’ll hear a tidbit of interesting history about the game, we’ll learn the rules and scoring, and play plenty of rounds. Whether you’re new to the game or have been playing awhile this camp is for you. Cribbage boards and cards provided. We’ll end the week with a Cribbage Tournament. Come explore what it feels like to be a pilot!  We’ll spend the morning learning about planes and aviation and finish the day with a discovery flight in a real airplane! Each camp is a one day camp and will be held at the EAA Chapter 1158 building at the West Bend Municipal Airport, 310 Aerial Drive, West Ben, WI. 53095. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of camp.  A parent or guardian needs to be present and will need to sign the liability waiver. Through this camp, kids will learn how to audition, prepare monologues, and perform a short drama at the end of the week. This camp is meant for students who want to act regardless of prior experience. During the week, there will be workshops each day focusing on a specific area of acting. At the end of the week, there will be a performance where the actors will get to showcase their flourishing talents

We will learn the story of the dinosaurs through fascinating facts, Bible stories, games, crafts and other activities.   Their story is a natural opportunity to teach kids about the Good News of Jesus.  Dinosaurs may be extinct, but they are still good news for kids! This camp will teach basic woodworking skills through a small project. The kids will learn about shop safety, machining, joining, sanding and finishing.  Through our project, we will also learn how God shapes us for his purposes, from our raw, sinful state into something beautiful and/or useful, how we are all shaped for different purposes, how God provides the tools that we need to grow in our faith and what Discipleship - learning from those with experience and wisdom – looks like.

A random act of kindness is a non-premeditated, unexpected act of generosity or helpfulness offered to someone without expecting anything in return.  These simple gestures can have a big impact on the lives of others.  Kind acts signal to others that we care about them.  In this camp, we will spend the week actively carrying out random acts of kindness.
