Are you ready to catch a wave? Join us at South Beach in Port Washington for a week of surfing fun. Campers will learn the fundamentals of surfing, including water safety, wave awareness and paddling techniques. Experienced instructors provide hands-on guidance on the sand and in the water. waves can be hard to guarantee, but either way, we will have some board fun in the water and learn all about surfing. All equipment will be provided.
Get ready to “dig” into God’s wonderful plan for gardening. Growing your own food is not only healthy and good for your body, but it’s a lot of fun too! In gardening camp, campers will learn the different types of gardening, the importance of companion planting, proper care of a garden throughout the season. Campers will discover the magic of soil, sunlight and water as they learn to plan a garden space and plant and nurture the seeds. Kids are cleared for takeoff at our aviation-themed Summer Camp, “Lifted on Eagle’s Wings!” This adventure blends faith, science, and fun with hands-on ground school, airplane builds, games, Twin Cessna Aircraft familiarization, and a special airport visit . Through exciting activities and Bible lessons about trusting God’s guidance and soaring on His strength, children will learn what it means to follow Him with courage and confidence. And then we’ll eat them, of course, so come hungry! Throughout the week we will be cooking or baking foods from the different food groups as well as learning about how Jesus is “food for our soul.
Like to sew? Want to learn more? This camp is for kids with previous sewing experience who have a basic understanding of sewing machine operation and sewing techniques. Our projects will be designed to teach new and more advanced sewing skills. Your own sewing machine is helpful, but not required.
Do you want to learn to sew? This is the camp for you! This camp is for kids who have little to no sewing experience. We’ll learn basic sewing techniques as we complete simple, yet fun sewing projects. Your own sewing machine is helpful, but not required.
Join us for a fun week of target shooting! This is not a hunter safety course, but is an introductory, hands on course designed to introduce kids to guns and basic gun safety. We’ll test what we learn by shooting BB guns at designated targets. As we discover how easy it is to miss the mark when shooting at a target, we will learn to be thankful that Jesus hits the mark every time so we don’t have to.
