We’ll also have Lego related craft projects, daily design challenges, creative competitions, and “free build” time. The possibilities are endless. Checkmate! Whether you are a chess pro, just learning how to play, or don’t know the difference between a bishop and a knight – you are welcome at Chess Camp! Not only will we learn what each piece does, but we will explore game play strategies, identify common chess terms/plays, and enjoy some friendly competition with fellow chess players. As we learn how to make important decisions in our game play, we will also learn from the Bible how to make important decisions in life. We hope to see you there!

Honeybees are a fascinating part of God’s creation. We will learn about the queen, the workers, the colony and all of the amazing things that honeybees do. We will also harvest some honey and learn a little about what beekeepers do to take care of the bees. When we look in the mirror, many of us see ourselves as ordinary or worse, but God sees us as made in his image. The right image is how He made us as his unique design, set apart and special. We will come to know how we are uniquely made as we learn to draw our own faces (using a mirror) and other human faces from photographs. We will spend the week learning different drawing techniques from a retired police officer with 30+ years of experience as a sketch artist.
