Get ready to “dig” into God’s wonderful plan for gardening.  Growing your own food is not only healthy and good for your body, but it’s a lot of fun too!  In gardening camp, campers will learn the different types of gardening, the importance of companion planting, proper care of a garden throughout the season, as well as how to preserve and keep many of the vegetables grown in a garden.  Campers will also get their hands dirty while planting, try tasty garden produce each day, design a garden of their own, hear from a local farmer as a guest speaker, as well as design and plant a cooperative raised vegetable garden.  Let’s get those hands dirty!
